Following the expected closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja for six weeks, starting from March 8, 2017 to enable the aviation authorities carry out runway and other sundry repairs, Omni-Blu Aviation Limited (OBA) is offering helicopter shuttle/charter services between Kaduna – Abuja, and Lagos – Abuja routes. This service would be serviced with 2 nos. 12 seater AW 139 Helicopter to cater to the flying needs of Nigerian flying public.

The airports, which were calibrated in less than two weeks in concert with its technical partners, Flight Calibration Services Limited (FCSL U.K), was made in time to meet with the deadline for closure of Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport Abuja. A feat which has met with commendation and approval from the aviation authorities and other stakeholders.

Omni-Blu Aviation Limited (OBA) added yet another feather to its cap recently with the signing of a tripartite Joint Venture and Mutual Cooperation Agreement worth over US$20m between itself, Sterling Square Capital Partners (SSCL), and Omni Helicopters International (OHI).
Omni Helicopters International (OHI), which is headquartered in Portugal, is the parent company of Brazil’s leading offshore aviation player, Omni Taxi Aereo S.A, which has over 50 helicopters of different models in its fleet and is heavily involved with Brazilian oil giant, Petrobras.
Sterling Square Capital Partners (SSCP) is a private equity firm which invests across Europe in mid-market companies with enterprise values between €50million and €500million. It has a total committed capital in excess of €1billion.
The Federal government of Nigeria, in acknowledgement of Omni-Blu’s excellent safety record and strides in the industry, has with effect from August 2016, awarded Omni-Blu Aviation flag carrier status to nine international destinations. The destinations include United Kingdom – London, Houston Texas, USA; Sao Paulo – Brazil, Lisbon –Portugal, Abidjan – Cote D’Ivoire, Accra – Ghana; others are Guangzhou – People’s Republic of China, Dakar – Senegal, and Tel Aviv – Israel.
